How do I use the Merm Siren Silk Hair Mask?

Can I buy Merm products anywhere else?
Currently, we are only selling online with the occasional market in Utah. We hope to expand soon to stores all around the US!
I am from outside of the US, can I buy Merm products?
We love that there is interest in Merm internationally but as we are a startup company and different countries have different testing needed before our product can be on shelves, we have decided to wait until we have adequate funding so we can launch globally!
Do I use the Merm Siren Silk Hair mask with or without conditioner?
Personally, we like to use it in place of your regular conditioner. However, feel free to try using Merm Siren Silk Hair Mask after your conditioner for an even silkier effect!
Can I leave the mask in overnight?
We do not reccomend leaving the mask in overnight.
Should I apply the mask on wet or dry hair?
You should apply the mask to wet hair after your regular shampoo.
How often should I use the Merm Siren Silk Hair Mask?
We like to use it 1-2 times a week as a deep conditioning treatment but feel free to use it daily!
Can I use the mask on my scalp?
You totally can! However the mask is more meant for the mids and ends of your hair. Your hair may get oily more quickly if you apply it to your scalp.
How long should I leave the mask on?
We like to leave it on for 5-10 minutes!
Why is my mask grainy?
We tested out lots of different versions of the mask. To find a balance between graininess and smoothness was a challenge. We ended on this formulation because it was the least grainy with the most amount of conditioning. There is nothing wrong with your mask just use it as normal :)
Why is the mask in powder form?
Go look at any of your hair products. The first ingredient is probably water. So why are we choosing to be different? We chose a powder formula to do more with less — less water, less waste, and less shipping weight. By removing the water, we give you ingredients that activate fresh in your hands, not sitting on a shelf. It also means we can skip bulky plastic bottles and opt for sustainable, plastic free packaging. It's better for your hair and the planet.
How do I store the product to keep it fresh?
Store the box of packet in a cool dry area of your home. When you are ready to use the mask take a packet into the shower with you and use immediately upon opening.
How much product should I use per wash?
Knowing how much to include per packet is tricky since everyones hair has different needs! Based on pre launch surveys, we have found that most people only need one packet of Merm Siren Silk hair mask per use. If you have extra long/ thick hair consider using two packets or if you have thinner/shorter hair you can likely get away with using half a packet.
