Powder-to-Cream Hair Mask: How to Use It (for Soft, Weightless Hair)

I love doing hair masks but sometimes I feel like they leave my hair oily with way too much product buildup. Thats one of the reasons why our Siren Silk Hair Mask is formulated as a powder. It individually moisturizes the strands without leaving the hair heavy and overly saturated with oils.

What powder-to-cream really means

When you use a powder to cream mask, it is activated fresh every time. You get to control the texture of the product by adding more or less water so it is perfect for your hair type. Its also waterless until you use it so its perfect for traveling. You can stick it in a suitcase or carry on and it wont have to worry about it adding too much weight or being taken by TSA.

How to use it

Begin by shampooing your hair like normal and in place of conditioner open up a packet of the Siren Silk Hair Mask. Start small. I usually like to dump out about 1/3 of the packet into my hand to begin with. I add a tiny bit of water (usually just one or two seconds under a tiny jet from my shower head).  Then just rub your hands together until it feels creamy. Your exact texture is determined by your preferences and what your hair type is.

Apply from your mid lengths to ends and tie your hair up for the rest of your shower. I like to do this at the beginning of my shower so the mask can work while I do other things like body wash and shaving. It usually ends up sitting on my hair for about 10-15 minutes but you can even leave it on for as little as 5 minutes. Throughly rinse your hair and dry like normal.
